Stop Excessive Sweating
For the estimated 1% of people worldwide that suffer from excessive sweating, finding solutions that are effective and economic can be a frustrating task. There are measures which can be taken to stop excessive sweating without needing to undergo expensive treatments or have to keep spending money on prescription pills and antiperspirants.
For those with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), unless there is a medical reason behind the condition, there is no known cause. However, there are situations and circumstances which can lead to a bout of profuse sweating. The most common reason is stress and anxiety, unfortunately the route of such feelings can often come from hyperhidrosis itself. For instance, a person who knows that they sweat profusely will often be anxious about this happening whilst they are in a public arena such as a meeting at work, for instance. This anxiety can build up so much that it actually causes them to sweat, bringing their fears to light and forming a viscous cycle. There are many other factors which can cause a person to sweat, so it stands to reason to try to combat as many of them as possible in a natural way in order to decrease the likelihood of any embarrassing situations occurring.
Regular exercise
A huge percentage of people who sweat excessively are overweight. The larger a person is, the more calories they burn and the more they sweat. Taking regular exercise not only contributes to weight loss, but it gives the person to sweat out the harmful toxin that the body gets rid of in perspiration in an appropriate environment, rather than in a situation which will lead to embarrassment for the sufferer.
Whilst exercise is good, it is not a good idea to exercise right before work or a public engagement. Exercise raises the body temperature, so it is likely that sweating may occur for some time afterwards, especially those who have a problem with excessive sweating. Exercising after work is a great way to relieve the stress of the day and gain a better night’s sleep, as well as fighting hyperhidrosis.
Choose clothing carefully
Wearing restrictive clothing in materials that don’t allow the air to circulate, such as polyester and nylon, will undoubtedly cause the body to sweat more. Wearing natural materials with looser weaves in the fabric allow air to flow through them which helps to regulate the body temperature and keep it cool. It is also worth mentioning that darker colors will show up any dark patches of sweat more than light colors will.
Tomato juice
Tomato juice is renowned for being one of the best natural remedies to cure excessive sweating that there is. The natural vitamins and minerals which the juice is packed with make it a trusty weapon against all kinds of ailments.
It is simple to use, by simply drinking one glass a day for the first week and then reducing the intake to a glass on alternate days. Most people who try the method are pleasantly surprised at how effective this simple remedy is.
Swap the coffee for tea
Coffee is known to heighten the stimulation of sweat glands, causing people to sweat. If the morning brew is too much to forego altogether, sage tea is an excellent alternative. Sage is known to actively decrease the amount of sweat produced. The tea can be sweetened with some lemon juice if the taste is not to a person’s liking.
Sage tea can also be applied directly onto the skin, once it has cooled obviously. This too is a trusted remedy for hyperhidrosis.
Yoga
Yoga is a great way to tone the body whilst meditating and relaxing. Gentle yoga or meditation in the mornings can set the mind frame and overall emotional state to one of relaxation and tranquility. This will help sufferers start the day without stress. Over time, meditation can lead to one being able to have a greater self-control so that stress and anxiety may no longer be any kind of substantial problem. This is an extremely useful tool to have for anybody but especially those who have conditions related to stress.
Cure
There is no specific miracle cure for hyperhidrosis, but the methods above certainly help to stop excessive sweating or at the very least, reduce the amount of sweat so that it is more manageable. It is important to try different methods to see which work best, but also to give each method a fighting chance.
